Carters Steamfair
My recent courses in sign painting took place at Carters Yard in White Waltham, Berkshire, which is where the organisation is based over the 5 colder months of the year. During that period of time, an entire team of employees repair, paint & re-paint their rolling stock, which is roughly 17 rigs pulling their numerous fairground rides and live-in vehicles which I’d imagine makes for quite a spectacle in convoy. Everything, and I mean everything, is painted within an inch of it’s life and this in itself was really inspiring to be around during the time I was on my course. So needless to say, I was like a kid in a china shop and a little bit trigger happy with my camera. I shall say nothing more, the quality of the paint work here more than speaks for itself.
